What are the futures for academic development?
A one-day event to explore ideas and practices from the new SEDA book10 June 2016 - 03 June 2016
Location: University College Birmingham
The book’s editors David Baume and Celia Popovic, along with chapter authors, will give short provocative presentations on futures for their particular areas of interest within academic development.
Beyond that, much of the day will be devoted to participants using their own experience and ideas from the book to plan and report on futures for:
- Themselves as developers;
- Their work as developers;
- Their development unit; and
- Their institution or organisation.
Participants will also be encouraged to spend a little time drawing implications for the future work and structure of SEDA.
Venue and Cost
The venue will be at McIntyre House, University College Birmingham.
The fee will be £50 (to include a copy of the book) or £30 (for those who already have a copy).
Refreshments and a sandwich lunch will be provided. Joining instructions will be sent nearer to the date.
