Types of Membership


The University of Roehampton's Department of Academic Enhancement  (institutional members of SEDA)

Individual
Individual members receive: regular electronic mailings from SEDA,access to SEDA’s magazine, Educational Developments, access to SEDA’s journal, Innovations in Education and Teaching International, special discounts at SEDA events, eligibility to apply for SEDA’s Small Grants, a 20% discount on Routledge higher education publications and voting rights at General Meetings.

Individual members who are also SEDA Senior Fellowship or Fellowship holders receive all of the above plus a copy of the International Journal for Academic Development.

Individual membership of SEDA for 2021 costs £129 (£139 if paying by Direct Debit)

Institutional (Higher Education)
Institutional HE members receive: regular electronic mailings from SEDA, one copy of each SEDA Special, access to SEDA’s quarterly magazine, Educational Developments, access to SEDA’s journal, Innovations in Education and Teaching International, access to each new title in the SEDA Series, access to the International Journal for Academic Development, special discounts at SEDA events for up to 5 members of staff, eligibility to apply for SEDA’s Small Grants, a discount on the price of SEDA-PDF, a 20% discount on Routledge higher education publications and voting rights at General Meetings. 

Institutional HE membership of SEDA for 2021 costs £1399


Institutional (Further Education)
Institutional FE members receive: regular electronic mailings from SEDA, access to each SEDA Special, access to SEDA’s magazine, Educational Developments, access to SEDA’s journal, Innovations in Education and Teaching International, access to each new title in the SEDA Series, access the International Journal for Academic Development, special discounts at SEDA events for up to 5 members of staff, eligibility to apply for SEDA’s Small Grants, a discount on the price of SEDA-PDF, a 20% discount on Routledge higher education publications and voting rights at General Meetings. 


Institutional FE membership of SEDA for 2021 costs £655


Associate
Associate membership is available to those who work in institutions which are institutional members of SEDA. Associate members receive the following benefits: regular electronic mailings from SEDA, access to SEDA’s  magazine, Educational Developments, special discounts at SEDA events, eligibility to apply for SEDA’s Small Grants and a 20% discount on Routledge higher education publications.  This is a particularly valuable way of keeping departments, faculties and individuals with staff development responsibilities informed of SEDA events and activities. 

Associate membership of SEDA for 2021 costs: £79


Partner Institution
Institutional members of SEDA may apply for Partner Institution membership for any number of affiliated or associated colleges. Partner Institutions receive the following benefits: regular electronic mailings from SEDA, access to SEDA’s magazine, Educational Developments, access to each SEDA Special, special discounts at SEDA events for up to 5 members of staff, eligibility to apply for SEDA’s Research and Development Grants, a discount on the price of SEDA-PDF and a 20% discount on Routledge higher education publications. Partner Institutions receive their mailings directly.
