Conference AimThe conference aim was to build upon the success of last year’s conference by providing an environment for participants to reflect upon and share ideas and practices related to delivering, planning, managing and researching educational and staff development. Conference FormatThe format of the conference comprised parallel sessions of workshops, seminars and paper presentations. Keynote and plenary sessions were led by Professor Sally Brown, Director of Membership Services for the Institute for Learning and Teaching, Professor Robin Middlehurst, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Surrey and Professor Graham Gibbs, Co-Director of the Centre for Higher Education Practice at the Open University. Conference sessions fell under four overarching themes:
