There has been a major expansion in the numbers of postgraduate students who are given teaching responsibilities. However historically they have not necessarily had access to initial or ongoing professional development as fulltime members of staff. Appropriate professional development is both important in itself and in relation to broader contextual issues, such as the importance of NSS and the changing fees regime. This event seeks to identify good practice and strategies for sustainable professional development for this group of teachers. This event is scheduled to start at 11.30 am and finish by 5 pm.Anticipated audience: academic/educational developers; academics with responsibility for part-time teachers
