Papers will generally draw together good practice, ideas, case studies, etc. offering a variety of approaches and perspectives. Papers will usually have a shelf life of at least three years from the date of publication.

SEDA Papers can be up to 120 pages in length, c. 30,000 to 50,000 words. This may be by a single author or multiple authors contributing up to 15 papers of about 2,500 – 5,000 words to an edited collection (within the overall size limit). Today (2020) there are 20 Papers available in the series.

The SEDA Papers committee referees ideas and proposals, uses an Advisory Editor during production, and referees again before publication.
