Dr Neil Currant has been supporting teaching, learning and assessment practices in higher education since 2005. They are the course leader for the PGCert in Teaching in Higher Education at the University of Bedfordshire. Neil was previously Head of Educational Development at Oxford Brookes University.
Neil’s doctoral study was on the experiences of belonging for global ethnic majority students in predominately white universities. Neil’s research interests include belonging, assessment, educational leadership, and inclusion. They have recently been involved in two QAA-funded projects related to belonging and compassion in assessment.
Neil is a Senior Fellow HEA and a Fellow of SEDA. Neil’s passion outside of work is running and hopes to one day be quick enough to represent England in a road running age group category race.
